The first quarter update of 2023 has seen an exciting start to the year for MiTek’s Posi-Joist.
The MiTek team has been busy out visiting various Posi-Joist projects, including the Sea Club holiday homes being built by Sv Husgruppen on the island of Sandhamn, a luxury house being constructed outside of Stockholm, and an impressive six-storey wooden frame apartment block in Torsby.
Putting our hybrid Posi-Joist to the test
In order to further test the capabilities of the product, the MiTek Sweden team recently visited the Linnaeus University Testing Lab to put the new Hybrid Posi-Joist to the test.
The initial feedback has been very promising, demonstrating the potential for innovation and improvement when combining wood, steel, and concrete.
A growing market
In just two years since its introduction to the Swedish market, we’re really pleased to see that Posi-Joist has already achieved strong growth, delivering over 90 tonnes of metal web joists across Sweden, Denmark, and the Baltics last year.
The team is particularly excited about the prospects for delivering more Posi-Joist projects across the Baltics, where Intars Dīcmanis is driving it forward. It’s also been interesting to see that our clients in the Baltics have been investing in new machinery helping to showcase the potential for growth in the housebuilding sector across the region
Overall, 2023 is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for the use of Posi-Joist in Sweden. The team is looking forward to continuing to drive innovation in the Swedish housing market and provide better building solutions for customers and ultimately better homes for people to live in.
